SPORTS HALL EXTENSIONS AND CHANGING ROOM REFURBISHMENTS
The construction of multiple traditional built extensions to the schools existing sports hall including the deliverance of a new dedicated PE classroom and office extension, along with extensions to the existing male and female sports hall changing rooms, and the refurbishment of the existing science block changing rooms.
The project was procured on a competitive tender basis, with the construction phase requiring meticulous planning to ensure that a phased handover would enable the continued operation of the facility and the school sports requirements, in addition to the customary safeguarding and logistic challenges of education sector projects undertaken during on a ‘live school site’.
Prevalent temporary works, in the form of the construction of temporary access and site road to provide a separate means of access to the construction site during the construction phase.
The project included the negating of principal contractor duties inline with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including the management and delivery of specialist contractors and key project milestones in conjunction with our direct workforce, to provide a high quality and timely solution to the client.
