The delivery of the complex restoration of an existing Grade I Public House, originally built in 1659, which included extensive structural remediation works to the foundations, walls and roof structures along with the installation of an independently supported steel portal frame inside the building to supplementary support key structural elements.
The considerate restoration of original windows, masonry façade and roof finishes following structural stabilisation work gave way to a new shopfront designed to appease the requirements of listed building consent all detailed from historic photographs of the local area.
Internal works involved the creation of a two-bedroom first-floor apartment, and the ground floor a shop and tea room to be used as a community hub.
